NCTech brings professional, high‐speed panoramic imaging to CES
Company to showcase iris360 camera with full Google Street View integration; only automatic camera system approved for Google Trusted Photographers
Edinburgh, UK – December 14, 2015 – NCTech, the developer of reality imaging systems, today announced that it will be showing its iris360 panoramic camera at the CES 2016 tradeshow. The camera, which only started shipping to customers in October, will be shown in public for the first time at the Las Vegas tradeshow.
iris360 is fully integrated with the new Google Street View app to allow users to capture and upload high‐resolution panoramic photos directly via the app. The fast and easy‐to‐use camera is also designed for use with all 360 degree image processing and virtual tour software and can easily be integrated into other platforms that require professional‐quality panoramic imaging content.
iris360 is remote‐controlled by a mobile phone or tablet, and quickly captures high‐resolution 360 degree images from its four sensors. With one touch, the camera captures and delivers an 8K resolution, HDR panoramic image in less than two minutes.
“We are excited to bring iris360 to CES for its first public showing and look forward to showing delegates the speed and simplicity that we have brought to high‐quality 360 degree image capture,” said Cameron Ure, CEO, NCTech. “Whether it’s for Google Street View or another third‐party application, iris360 delivers the quality and flexibility you need from an automated camera system.”
iris360 is the only fully automated, panoramic camera system available today to deliver the 32 megapixel photo sphere resolution required under Street View | Trusted. As a certification program, Trusted focuses on recognizing professionals who consistently deliver their clients with the highest quality “photo spheres” of business interiors.
“The high resolution and speed of the iris360 camera makes it the perfect tool to support business participation in Street View,” said Charles Armstrong, Product Manager for the Google Street View apps and Trusted program. “NCTech has taken an important step in helping others record and explore our world with high fidelity, 360 degree imagery.”
NCTech is the company behind the industrial‐grade iSTAR 360 degree camera system, which is widely used in commercial, engineering, military and government departments.
At CES, NCTech is located in the Eureka Park Marketplace, Sands Expo, Hall G at stand 81651
