An opportunity has arisen for an IT Technician to join a dynamic and rapidly-growing imaging company based in Edinburgh. The company develops state of the art panoramic and 3D imaging systems. The role will be part of the newly founded IT Operations team. In this role you would help to empower internal users to work at their full potential, help solve issues and deploy new technology solutions.

As an IT Technician you will join a team of talented engineers working as part of a new sustainable paced agile team. You will be involved in every aspect of the process from idea generation, architecture, design, deployment and support. You will help empower staff through technology and make the user experience as streamlined as possible.

Skills and Experience


  • At least 2 years experience in a similar role.
  • Experience using an IT ticketing system to interact with customers.
  • Proficiency with Windows, MacOS and Linux, especially with command line.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical topics to non technical end users and create clear process documentation.
  • Experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems.
  • Experience working with Google Workspace or O365 in an administrative capacity.
  • Strong networking skills, with deployment history of VPNs, Firewalls, etc.
  • Experience with system imaging, MDM and device lifecycle. 


  • ExperienceadministeringtheAtlassianSuite.
  • Experience with AWS.
  • Previous experience working with zero touch deployment technologies and providing IT services to a remote workforce.
  • Any other related experience! 

Role Responsibilities

  • Installation and configuration of employee devices, printers and other peripherals including VoIP.
  • Supporting end users with day to day IT issues, including troubleshooting hardware and software.
  • Management of Google workspace users and single sign on applications.
  • Writing policy, procedure and knowledge base documentation.
  • Deployment and management of new software/services, including procurement.
  • Work with infrastructure and security resources.
  • Provide user training on software and systems.
  • Procurement and deployment of hardware.
